The TV says register your device to play divx
It is necessary to register using the Vod Divx code on the developer’s official website in order to view Divx video files protected by the DRM system on the device. After the TV, game console or other device is registered, the user will have access to the company’s partner web resources (MerdiaMarkt, WarnerVOD, meJANE). The videos you like can be downloaded and viewed online.
Registration in the divx.com VOD system is one-time only. To obtain the activation file, follow these steps:
Step #1: create a profile on the Vod Dvix website
1. On the main page of the official website of the codec developers divx.com, if necessary, you can change the interface language. On the right side of the top panel, in the drop-down menu, select the required option.
2. In the “Support” section, click “Register Your Device”.
3. On the right side of the form, select the language in which the field names will be displayed.
Note. Unlike the general interface, this section can be displayed in Russian.
Attention! Technical support warns that registration will be successful provided that it is performed on a device with a Windows or Mac operating system.
5. Enter the information required to create a profile:
- First and Last Name;
- valid e-mail (needed for verification);
- password (enter the character combination manually; copy and paste functions are not supported on the service).
6. Check the box by clicking next to the words “I have read and agree...”. By these actions you inform the web resource that you have read its terms of use and privacy policy.
7. Click the “Create an account” button. A message from the web resource will appear indicating that the registration data has been entered successfully.
Step #2: email verification
1. Log into the account of the specified mail service. Open the email from the Vod Divx system.
2. To activate your account, click the link “... confirm your address …” in the text of the message.
To ask a question to technical support of the service, in the letter, click on another link located a line below (... mail). In a new tab, using the prompts, fill out an application.
Step #3: Get the VOD code on your device
(using the example of the Sony Playstation 3 game console)
1. In the PS3 interface, go to the Settings section, and then to the System Settings subsection.
2. In the list of options, select “Divx VOD Registration Code”.
3. Rewrite the code. It is needed in order to register the device on the site.

Many people saw the DivX(R) VOD/Register item in the phone settings, but did not understand why this was needed. DivX(R) VOD registration allows you to watch protected videos with the DivX codec. Registration instructions:
1) Download this program: http://go.divx.com/vod-windows-install for Windows or this one: http://go.divx.com/vod-mac-install for Mac.
2) Open the program, go to the VOD/Create a DivX Account tab or press Ctrl + T.
3) We go through registration, that is, we fill out all the fields in accordance with the meaning. Click Create Account.
4) If after registration the program does not automatically authorize you, then click VOD/Log In or Create A DivX Account. Enter the information you provided during registration.
Click Log In.
5) Go to the VOD/Register a DivX Certified Device tab. In the Registration Code column we write the code that is given in the phone (Settings/Phone information/DivX(R) VOD/Register). In Device Name we write Samsung GT-S8500 Wave. Click Next.
6) Select a location to save the file (preferably the desktop), which we will then need for registration. Click Next.
7) Connect the phone in Removable disk mode. Click Transfer Video Now.
8) The Add or remove videos window will open. In the upper right corner, select the memory card of our smartphone or phone memory. Click Start.
9) After completing the previous operation, disconnect the phone from the computer. Open Menu/My Files/Samsung GT-S8500 Wave. We wait until the video reaches the end and close it. The video can now be deleted.
10) Open Settings/Phone Information/DivX(R) VOD, if the Unregister option appears available, then you did everything correctly. The DivX VOD Manager window remains open on the computer; if you close it, then open the VOD/DivX VOD Manager. This window displays a list of registered devices, deregister your computer, leaving the Samsung GT-S8500 Wave. You can remove the program from your computer.
P.S: If you canceled the registration, then you need to enter the code that deactivates the registration in VOD/Add or remove videos/Samsung GT-S8500 Wave, and then repeat all steps from point 1.
If you register Samsung GT-S8530 Wave II, then all references to Samsung GT-S8500 Wave must be changed to Samsung GT-S8530 Wave II, although this is not so significant))
