The Android emulation environment WindowsAndroid is a pretty good job, combining the complete “inner world” of the Android OS, with all its settings and default programs. This is a special emulator application. Along with the program itself, we will need to additionally download game distributions (the solution is old and works on the principle of an emulator, so it’s impossible without using game files). The application helps you run classic and not too demanding games (fortunately, modern gadgets can handle them without any problems). We are talking about strategies and RPGs, for example:

  • Sid Meier's Civilization III;
  • Fallout;
  • Might & Magic Heroes III and others.

Therefore, the developers released two versions of the application. The first is ExaGear Strategies - respectively, for strategies, the second - ExaGear RPG - for Royal Play. The whole difference lies in the control system, which is tailored to one genre or another.

Devices running iOS are “flying”: the developers have not adapted the application for this system.

System requirements (not too severe, most modern devices can easily handle the load):

  • Android version 4 and higher;
  • processor type ARM v7 (neon) and higher.

Management:

  1. Download the required version of the program (Strategies or RPG) for the selected game (available in the Google Play store).

  1. Download the game files to your computer (laptop/desktop) and transfer the distribution package to the device’s memory in the “ExaGear” folder (it will be automatically created in the root).

  1. Disconnect your phone from your PC and run the program. It will automatically determine the launch file - click on it and configure the controls.

All algorithms are processed locally, in a smartphone. You can't run the distribution without an emulator. This eliminates delays and sagging of the picture, you can play without an Internet connection.

The only problem is inconvenient controls. You can get used to this, especially if you want to feel nostalgic and “kill” a few hours with a good game. There is also support for network mode (fully functional).

Method two: KinoConsole

This is a different application. The principle of its operation is radically different from the previous one. Everything is tied to the streaming system. All calculations are performed on a computer (no PC needed), then the picture is sent to a mobile phone. Here, iOS owners are not left out and are also participating in the fun.

A mandatory attribute of the game is stable and high-speed Internet, at least 10 Mb/sec. Everything is much simpler if you play at home, and the PC and tablet (smartphone) are connected to the same wireless network (everything will be as fast as possible). To interact at a distance, it is better to connect an LTE connection.

But with system requirements everything is even simpler - there are none. Correction: they are not available for the phone, but you need a computer that can “play” the desired game.

Management:

  1. Download the application from the market for a specific OS (Google Market, App Store, etc.).

  1. Download and install a computer software server for game streaming: the file will be called “KinoConsole_1_44.exe”.

  1. Launch the server itself and set up access for the phone: set a password, log in to your Google account, deactivate VR (to control touch).

  1. Launch Phone Assistant. If the devices are on the same wireless network, then synchronization occurs automatically; nothing needs to be launched separately. If the gadget is at a distance, then you need to log into your account and find an additional section in the settings. In it, click “Connect to..” and enter the external IP address.

  1. Next, the screen will display a list of installed games on your PC. Launch any of them. You won't have to download anything additional.

A distinctive feature of this method is its wide possibilities. The user can run absolutely any application, unless, of course, the computer gives up. Direct PC control is also provided using separate software from the same developers. If you combine them, you get a good system of interaction.

To carry out control, the program imitates the connection of a gamepad, so the entire system on the smartphone is configured in the form of a joystick. To configure, you need to open the additional menu and find the corresponding section for adjusting parameters. You can open a menu of hot keys and some settings (press three taps simultaneously anywhere on the display).

There are also different analogues of this program - for example, Kainy. The principle of operation is the same, the only differences are in the interface and more convenient controls (you can configure the keyboard layout on the display, not the joystick). Although the analogue is more difficult to use (connection takes longer). And if there are no complaints when interacting via wireless channels, then when working via the Internet everything is not so rosy (much worse than on KinoConsole).

Another analogue is Splashtop GamePad THD. Not a bad software, the principle of operation is the same as that of others. Differences: weaker functionality (does not work over the network, online via Wi-Fi) and interface.

If an application does not work (there may be various reasons), you can always try another one - fortunately, the market has a huge selection of utilities for every taste.

Now cloud services are rapidly developing. These are special resources that work using streaming technology, but all calculations no longer take place on the user’s computer, but on the machines of the server owner. There are definitely no restrictions, since very powerful PCs are used in the clouds. However, here you will have to pay for the opportunity to use the services.

  • Open the main menu, select “Run GTA”, then “Run 3DFX GTA”.
  • The game will launch at 512x384 by default; to change the resolution, press the F11 button right in the game.
  • If you want to play in full screen format, and not in a window, in the OpenGLid.ini file (DOSBox folder) we change InitFullscreen=0 on InitFullScreen=1

The DosBox Turbo application is paid, but the price is quite affordable. You can, of course, use the budget version (there is that too), but the most trump options are missing in it.

There are 2 versions of this application - ExaGear Strategies for launching strategies, as well as ExaGear RPG– to run RPG games. They differ only in the controls adapted to special games.     I would like to summarize by saying that cloud services are now actively developing, which also use the streaming function, but no longer from your PC. There will definitely be no restrictions here, and especially on the cusp of the fifth generation network (5G). They have already been announced, we just have to wait until they reach Russia.

    You must understand that both methods are imperfect. Errors and bugs are possible, I warned you that you would have to tinker. The mobile market has made a huge leap forward over the past 5 years, and processors that can compete with full-fledged PC processors are already appearing.
